Father’s Day 2014

The majority of the pictures I take of the kiddos are taken on a Sunday morning. This seems to be the only time that my kids are all looking socially presentable at the same time. They all are wearing clothes, have clean faces, and are not covered from head to toe in mud.

Here are two pictures, and I’ll let you take a guess as to which one was taken on a Sunday morning.

Anyway, we had a great time celebrating Father’s Day this year. We started the day off with some obligatory Sunday morning pictures.

DSC_2755When we arrived at church, the kids went to Bible class where the kids took some time to honor their father. My daughter came back from class with this little gem.  Take special note of the last line.

father's day fixGlad we cleared up who the favorite parent is in this household.

I wish I had documentation of my Mother’s Day mad lib. It said something to the effect that I like cleaning and watching Netflix on my computer. Loser mom alert.

After church, we met up with my husband’s mom for a late lunch at a local Mexican food restaurant. The kids were being so good and quiet, and then I looked over and saw E’s fork. He asked my mother-in-law if she would like a bite, and we all FREAKED OUT.

Apparently, he had been scooping ABC gum off the bottom of the table and was having himself a little dessert.  Never in a million years did I think I would be witnessing an “Elf moment” in real life.

I think my husband had a pretty great day. My hubby is one of the best dads in the entire world. He spends so much quality time with the kids, and he loves them to pieces. He is so caring and sweet. I am so grateful that my children get to grow up with such an awesome godly man in their lives. Thank you for all you do for us!

Side note: Sorry about the lack of posts. My computer is having some major issues, and most of my pictures are uploaded on there. Note to self: when your husband tells you to clear out the memory, CLEAR OUT THE MEMORY.

  1. Sounds like an eventful day! There are few things that will make your skin crawl more than watching your kids consume used food…UGH!
