A Beginner’s Guide To LuLaRoe

lularoeI’ll admit it.  I used to be a LuLaRoe skeptic.  I’m pretty frugal when it comes to buying clothing for myself, and I didn’t see what the hype was.   However,  about 6 months ago I decided to host an online party for one of my friends at church.  I had never really tried the clothing before, but I had heard such great things that I was interested in trying it.

I earned a pair of leggings for hosting the party, and they were the softest leggings ever which instantly made me curious to try more things.  I then went on to order a couple of Irmas and a few more pairs of leggings.

I had officially been bitten by the LuLaRoe bug and I was hooked.

There are still many styles that I haven’t had a chance to try. (The Carly and the Classic T are two that I’m dying to get my hands on!!)  However, the majority of the items that I have purchased have been a big hit.

So without further ado,  here are a couple of things that every LuLaRoe beginner needs to know:

Always double check your size in the different collections. One thing I didn’t know in the beginning is that the sizing in LuLaRoe is many times different from typical store clothing sizes.  This is what confused me the most.  I assumed that since I wear an XL in most clothing stores I would wear an XL in LuLaRoe.  That was a mistake because most of the time I needed to size down one (or even two) sizes. So if you are a first time LuLaRoer, make sure you check how the sizing runs in the collection that you are wanting to purchase!

The leggings are cute, but they aren’t the end-all-be-all of LuLaRoe.  I really do love the patterns on the leggings, and they are amazingly soft. However, sometimes I feel like the leggings are fragile and I have a problem with getting tiny holes in them.  Ultimately, I have found that while the leggings are adorable, LuLaRoe has tons of other styles to offer that I don’t have to be quite so careful in.

The shirts are amazing.  I know they are pricey, but they honestly are so comfy and cute.  The shirts come in many different patterns and materials.  They are very versatile and can be dressed up or down.  Personally, my favorite is the Perfect T which  is super flattering.  It flairs at the perfect spot and glides over any tummy bumps or hip lumps.

The patterns look better in person.  I don’t know why this is.  Sometimes I’ll see a pattern online or during a live sale, and I won’t be a fan.  However, I’ll see the exact same pattern in person and I’ll be tempted to buy it.  I think the problem is that some of the patterns don’t translate well onto the screen, but they are GORGEOUS in real life.  If you see a pattern that you somewhat like online, I can almost guarantee  that you will love it in person.

Consultants don’t choose the prints that they carry.  This is part of the fun.  Every consultant carries different patterns.  So, if you see something you are in the market for in a pattern you like, grab it before it’s gone!

Overall, I am a LuLaRoe addict fan.  I love the patterns and prints, and it quickly has become a staple in my wardrobe.

    1. I pretty much only wear them to church and places I know I will be super gentle on them. I think I’m just so busy with kiddos that they aren’t the best fit for my lifestyle at this moment in time and so I end up with holes. I bet you could wear them to work and be okay!! I also wear them a lot with these tops from Amazon which are a great length! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQ1B3SD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1&th=1
